Samiramis Kia is an Iranian-born filmmaker based in Toronto, working as a director, writer, and producer. Originally trained in Interior Architecture, she shifted her focus to filmmaking after immigrating to Canada in 2012, pursuing her lifelong passion for cinema. Her work has been showcased at film festivals worldwide, including Iran, Turkey, China, and Canada.

In 2020, Kia founded Oak Tree Films, a production company dedicated to bold, artistically driven storytelling. Her films have screened at major festivals such as the Tirana Film Festival and the Montreal Film Festival, earning critical acclaim and awards. She recently completed her debut feature, Drifting Stones, and is currently developing Of Hands and Memories, a psychological drama-thriller.
